About Access to information

ATIA was passed in Parliament on the 14th December, 2016. On the 10th February, 2017, the President assented to the ATIA. It was published in a gazette on 17th February, 2017 and became operational on 13th September, 2020. The core purpose of the ATIA is to provide details on the law and procedures that the stakeholders who are seeking information from an information holder must follow.
