MCA Students Gain Industry Exposure at Accountancy Day
Students from the Malawi College of Accountancy (MCA) Blantyre Campus, under the Bachelor of Applied Accounting, Auditing and Information Systems (BAAAIS), participated in an Accountancy Day hosted by Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS).
The event, which was held on April 24, offered a valuable platform for students to engage in professional discussions, gain practical insights into the accounting field, and interact with peers through industry-oriented activities.
Such engagements play a vital role in promoting inter-institutional collaboration, exposing students to real-world practices, and strengthening professional networks.
One of the students, Bahat Mwase, who also serves as the BAAAIS Society General Secretary, described the experience as both educational and inspiring, noting that it reinforced the importance of teamwork, knowledge sharing, and academic excellence.
MCA remains committed to creating opportunities that enhance student development and prepare graduates for the evolving demands of the accounting profession.
